Chris Glenn
Coach Chris Glenn trains and mentors athletes across the DFW Metroplex from various backgrounds, ages and sports. Glenn received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from William Jewel College where he was recognized as a Scholar Athlete every semester. He then completed his Masters of Business Administration from Walden University in 2011.

Glenn excelled as a college athlete in both track and football. He went on to play semi-pro football with the Dallas Diesel and the arena football team, the Frisco Thunder, winning awards and breaking records during his years of play. Glenn also has an extensive leadership and coaching background. Glenn is now bringing his combined training, experience and knowledge to the members of 6 Tool U.

Showcase Teams
6 Tool U will be attending a Prestigious National Showcase at the end of summer & end of fall. Each
Showcase Tournament has a National Sponsor and includes the best players in the country. The showcase tournaments will have in attendance schools from the SEC, ACC, Big 10 and Big 12. MLB and other scouts most likely will be in attendance. 
 
The Summer Showcase will be held July 18th – 24th in Houston, TX. The Summer Showcase details are as follows:
  • Opening Ceremony
  • Team Travel
  • Home Run Derby
  • Team Meals 
  • Per Diem
  • Games at Major College, Professional or Major Baseball Complex
  • 1st Round Pool Games
  • Single Elimination Brackets
  • Winners Bracket & Consolation Games
  • Team Events (Example: Major League Baseball Game)
  • 25 of the Top Teams in the Country

 

Top 36 Invitation Only Players from DFW in Each Grad Year (2017 & 2018) Receive: 
  • Tryout/Evaluation at Airhog Stadium in front of local college and professional scouts
  • Evaluation profile in PPN
  • 6 Tool U – Showcase Training Jersey
  • 6 Tool U Training Hat
6 Tool U Training Group – After Initial Tryouts & Evaluations, the 36 Invited Players will be Reduced to the Top 26 Players in Each Grad Year. The 6 Tool U Training Group (26) Will Receive:
  • 3 Months of Training
  • Additional 6 Tool U Training Jersey
  • Marucci Practice Pant
  • Marucci Practice Short
  • Additional Evaluations in Front of Scouts
6 Tool U Travel Team – The Training Group will be Reduced to the Top 21 Players in Each Grad Year. Those 21 Players will Roster and Receive:
  • Double Knitted Game Pants
  • 6 Tool U BP Top
  • 6 Tool U Polo Travel Shirt
  • 6 Tool U Game Hat
  • New Balance Turfs
  • New Balance Cleats
  • Food – Breakfast &
  • Per Diem provided

*The 5 Players Not Rostered will be Utilized as Alternates.
Staff Spotlight
Robert Mendoza
We would like to recognize and congratulate Robert Mendoza on his promotion to 6 Tool U’s Vice President of Baseball Operations.

Mendoza graduated from West Texas A&M University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in English & Sports and Exercise Science. Mendoza excelled as a high school and college athlete. In fact, he went on to play professional baseball for the El Paso Diablos, Sioux City Explorers and the San Angelo Colts. Learn more about Mendoza on our website http://6toolu.com/staff-bios/.

Paul Martinez
6 Tool U would like to congratulate Paul Martinez as the new Prep School Age Regional Coach for our Premiere Affiliate, Dallas Dodgers Baseball Club. Paul brings a wealth of experience to his coaching position and will be an excellent addition in his new position within the program.
Grapevine Baseball & Softball Association Presentation
Join us for Skills Training Day 
at 6pm on April 14th at Oak Grove Baseball Field A. This will be followed by an Affiliate Presentation by Howard Kinsler at 6:30 PM
 
Both the Affiliate Presentation and Skills Training are FREE Admission for all GBSA members!
